Laina G. Stebbins is an award-winning former reporter-turned-communications professional with a passion for protecting environmental and human health.

By day, she serves as Senior Specialist for Corporate Communications at NSF, where she is helping to tell the story of a global organization that has been shaping human health and safety for more than 80 years.

She previously served as Associate Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, where she was quoted as a department spokesperson in publications including the New York Times, CNN, NPR, Vox, Reuters, WIRED, Smithsonian Magazine, The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press and more.

In her free time, Laina enjoys a wide variety of creative pursuits that include professional photography and digital illustration. She is based in Southeast Michigan.
